Privacy Policy

The short version: VibeRoll is a desktop application. The entire product works on your own computer — your videos are transcribed, edited and rendered locally, and every file stays on your own disk. We do not store your data on our end. The only information that ever touches our servers is what's needed to sell licenses and run this website.

1. The app runs entirely on your computer

Your talking-head videos, projects and rendered shorts are files on your own disk. They are never uploaded, synced or backed up to us — we cannot see them.
Speech recognition (transcription) always runs on-device, using a local model (sherpa-onnx Parakeet). Your audio never leaves your machine for transcription.
Any API keys you enter in the app stay on your device. They are stored locally and used only by the app on your computer; requests made with them (LLM edit planning, stock b-roll search on Pexels/Pixabay, AI clip generation) go directly from your machine to that provider — never through our servers.
License-key activation is verified offline, on your device. The app does not need to contact our server to activate.

2. What we do process

To sell and support VibeRoll we process a small amount of information:

Purchases. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. We receive and keep your purchase email and the license key issued for it, so we can re-send a lost key.
Trial signups. Starting the free trial asks for your email address, which we keep so we can follow up about the product. Nothing else is collected, and no payment details are involved.
Windows waitlist. If you leave your email for the Windows build, we keep it to notify you when it ships.
Support. If you email support@questera.ai, we keep the correspondence so we can help you.

3. What we never collect

Your videos, footage, transcripts, projects or rendered files.
App usage data, crash logs or telemetry of any kind.
API keys or other credentials you enter in the app — they never leave your device.

4. Your storage, your responsibility

Because everything VibeRoll produces lives on your own device, you are responsible for that device's storage space, for backing up any projects or renders you care about, and for anything you do with the files it creates. We have no copies and cannot recover data that is deleted or lost from your machine.

5. Third-party services you choose to use

If you add your own API keys, your use of those providers (for example an LLM provider, Pexels or Pixabay) is governed by their terms and privacy policies. VibeRoll simply makes the requests you configure, from your machine, with your keys. Without keys, the app uses only local processing.

6. Retention and deletion

License records are kept for as long as your license is valid so a lost key can be recovered. To ask what we hold about your email, or to have it deleted, contact support@questera.ai.

7. Third parties we rely on

Stripe — payment processing.
Netlify — hosting for this website and the license-delivery endpoints.

Each processes data only as needed to provide their service to us.

8. Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated effective date. Material changes will be noted on the site.
